Device: Prototype of Spirometer 

 

Purpose: Web-enabled Medical Diagnostic Tool for Athma monitoring

  • High accuracy air flow sensor

  • Bi-directional monitoring (inhaled and exhaled air)

  • Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy module

  • Built-in Li-Po rechargable battery

  • Debugging and charging interface 

  • Analog output sensor interface

 

Basic Use: 

Patients with asthma can use the BLESpiro to monitor their lungs function connecting it to smart ready certified smartphone and launch the related application. The patient can see his perfomance in real-time on the screen of his smart device and easily share the data with his doctor.

Other uses:

Next step could be the decrease of the spirotube's size in order to fit all the electronics in the inner side of the device. Also, there is a need of built-in buzzer for sound indications and a wireless charging system to improve the level of user experience in daily basis.
